IoT North Conference Speakers 2022

Using his background in Industrial Sensor Technologies development and machine deep learning modelling, Wei Li’s research focus is to weave IIoT and deep learning technologies together with insight from his 20 years career in applied research to deliver practical Industrial 4.0 digital transformation solutions to Alberta Resource Sectors. Through his seven years Pulp and Paper industries working experience before joining InnoTech Alberta as a researcher, Wei Li gained a deep understanding on future industrial needs for next generation digital transformation.  

For the past five years, Wei’s machine vision deep learning technologies have been adopted by oil sand, pulp and paper and OSB industries for feed stock quality, final production quality and critical process measurements. His recent studies of pulping process modelling enable him to discover the gaps between current industrial process data system and future digital transformation needs.
