Melissa is a partner in the Business Group in BLG’s Calgary office. Melissa has almost 20 years of experience leading both private and public M&A transactions in a wide range of industries, including technology, mining and energy. She works with both Canadian and international acquirers and sellers, ranging from small private entities to large publicly listed entities. In addition Melissa also advises clients on financing transactions including public and private offerings of debt, equity and convertible securities, and compliance with corporate and securities regulatory requirements. Melissa is passionate about working with and supporting female led entities and is Calgary co-chair of BLG’s Driven by Women™. Melissa is also the Regional Group Manager of our Capital Markets and Corporate Commercial Group, a member of BLG’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiative and the Co-Chair of BLG’s Pro Bono Committee.
