Dr. Kenneth Fuh is a co-founder and the Director of Product Development at Syantra – a Calgary-based precision biotechnology company that is changing the way cancer is detected and treated, starting with breast cancer. In this role, Dr. Fuh led the establishment and implementation of a strategy for the design, development, validation, clinical demonstration, and regulatory compliance of Syantra’s flagship product, the Syantra DXTM Breast Cancer Test. The test is intended to detect an active breast cancer signature by measuring a panel of gene expression biomarkers from whole blood and uses a software package, developed with machine learning, to interpret data and provide a result. As a certified machine learning and artificial intelligence expert, Dr. Fuh oversees the development and integration of Syantra’s signal detection software packages.  

Ken earned his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Calgary and holds degrees in Biotechnology (Master of Science) and Biochemistry (Bachelor of Science).  He is also a certified Project Management and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Professional, first-author on several peer-reviewed scientific publications, and a member of the 2022 batch of Top 40 Under 40 in Calgary.
